Tiresa met David at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada through some mutual friends who were also attending UNB during the school year of 1997-1998. They hit it off and became friends at once. They corresponded through email, mostly, until Tiresa moved from Mount Allison University to UNB the next fall. After some rocky roads, the romance began.
